-Watch as customers browse. Look for opening to engage in conversation about the artwork.
*Look busy
-Find something to do on the floor, get out behind the desk, be available
-Please do not ignore customers because you are chatting with co-volunteers
-Do NOT sit behind the computer, please
*Acquaint yourself with all artists.
-Read the artist bios on the AAV website
-Walk around the gallery, read bios, look at art
-Eventually you should know the artist's name, just by looking at the piece of art
