Opening the Gallery
GETTING IN:
The key code is changeable...use current key code as of 10/5/15 - (3,8,5,0)
WALK AROUND/ OPENING PROCEDURES:
1. When arriving, make a quick walk around to see if there are any obvious problems and whether the heating and cooling systems seem to be working.
2. Turn on the overhead lights using the switches in the back. Turn on switches that are marked. Note: Please do not use colored stage lights or the outdoor light during the daytime.
3. Roll the sidewalk (sandwich board) sign out to the brick area of the sidewalk.
4. Plug in the electric OPEN sign in the front window.
5. SUMMER- water the planters first thing after unlocking the doors. They are VERY thirsty with high heat. Pick off any dead heads too please:)
6. Check both bathrooms to make sure there is toilet paper with a spare roll, and paper hand towels. Supplies are in the room between the two bathrooms. Empty trash if full. Although Paddle Hard will be ordering supplies, use petty cash to go get supplies if necessary.
7. Open the cash drawer and count the cash. The key for the drawer is hanging behind a post, under the desk, to the right of the computer. There should be $150.00 exactly. Make note of any discrepancy. There is an icon on the computer desktop that will bring up an Excel-based application to help with counting; it is called “Cash”. Use this to keep track of sales as well. VERY helpful at the end of a long day.
8. To sign in... Press F5 on the top of the keyboard. Your volunteer sign in should be 2lastname. If problems, sign in with 2Dickinson or 2Sandra and email Sandra to fix your sign-in clearance ([email protected])
9. Look around the gallery. What sales tags are missing? (Make a new one ... blanks are in a box on counter next to calendar.) Is there a pallet display that is blocking the flow through the gallery? Look at the trees.... did one sell and the rest need to be moved? If you were a customer, what looks unappealing.... change it!
THANK YOU!!!
